Ijagba-Imoru, November 8, 2025 — A large gathering of dignitaries, community leaders, political figures, and associates converged on the Ijagba Imoru Grammar School field on Saturday to attend the funeral ceremony of the late father of Hon John Olabisi,( Ola1) marking a solemn yet dignified farewell.
The event, which drew guests from within and outside the community, was characterized by glowing tributes that highlighted the deceased’s exemplary life of humility, integrity, and service to humanity. Attendees described the late patriarch as a man of uncommon wisdom and compassion, whose influence extended far beyond his immediate environment.
In his remarks, Hon Olabisi expressed deep appreciation to all who honoured the family with their presence and support during their time of bereavement. He noted that his father’s values of honesty, kindness, and dedication to communal progress would remain a guiding light for generations to come.
The ceremony featured prayers and Songs with many commending the late elder’s contributions to community development and moral uprightness.
Among the dignitaries present were Senator Jide Ipinsagba Senator representing Ondo Senatorial District, Hon Timilhin Adelegbe MHR Owo Ose federal Constituency ably represented by Hon Olaniyi Eni-Olotu, Hon commissioner for finance Wumi Kajola ably represented by Mr Adekunle Adefemi Lawal, former Special adviser to the governor Hon Fatai Olushina, Hon olatunji oshatti Maxima MHA representing Ose constituency majority leader of Ondo state house of assembly, Hon Ogunmolasuyi West MHA representing OWO, Chief Alex Ajipe, Engr Charles Adewunmi, Hon Eni Olotu, and several traditional rulers, religious leaders, and captains of industry who came to pay their last respects.
The impressive turnout, observers noted, was a reflection of the respect and affection the late patriarch commanded during his lifetime.
