Bandits open fire on Secondary School students, kill 13

Insecurity in the Northern part of Nigeria is really becoming a major concern to every law-abiding citizen.

There is rarely a day that passes by without hearing heartbreaking stories of people being killed by bandits and terrorists.

It is our earnest prayer that the federal government finds a lasting solution to this problem of insecurity that has lingered for too long.

According to reports by a credible source, some secondary students that were studying in Damaga community, Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State ran for safety after armed bandits attacked their. community.

A dozen of armed men reportedly arrived the community with motorcycles and opened fire on the people randomly killing at least 13 people while others ran for safety.

A source told Daily Trust that the students were taking lessons at Day Secondary School in the community when the bandits opened fire and the students on sighting them scampered for safety.

As at the time of writing this report, bodies of the people killed by the bandits were being prepared for burial.

It is unfortunate to note that insecurity in Zamfara State has been on the increase lately.
